Prior to joining McKing, he was an attorney-advisor in the Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Homeland Security. He provided memoranda and advice to field officers on the legalities of prospective actions and drafted appellate decisions on petitions filed by importers of goods seized for border violations. He trained and lectured Federal officials located throughout the United States as well as foreign enforcement officials on the methods of CBP intellectual property rights enforcement.
Mr. McCliggott graduated magna cum laude from American University’s Washington College of Law. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary.
