Mr. Jackson, Vice President and Director of the McKing Atlanta Office, joined the McKing executive team in March 2002. He was formerly employed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), from which he retired in 1999. Prior to joining McKing, he led many successful marketing efforts on behalf of 8(a) Federal Government contracting organizations. He serves as Project Manager for a number of diverse contracts for the CDC and other Federal agencies. At the request of CDC management, Mr. Jackson utilizes his extensive planning, management, financial and administrative knowledge, and experience to assist with implementation and execution of key projects. These activities include assisting with the development of a system for allocating indirect costs among CDC programs; developing a 5-year HIV/AIDS prevention strategic plan; coordinating the review of requests from States for bioterrorism funding and establishing a grants management information system to manage these funds; reviewing and making recommendations to improve injury prevention and control in extramural research grant programs; and reviewing and recommending organizational structures and conducting program assessments for the Office of the Director, National Center for Infectious Diseases, National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, and National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. In addition, he provides program management and technical support to the National Center for Environmental Health and National Center for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention.
