Mr. Durbin, Vice President of Information Technology in the McKing Atlanta Office, joined McKing in October 2003. Mr. Durbin has over 11 years of business experience in management, informatics/information technology, and public health, with 8 years of experience in Federal consulting. He assisted with the development of the Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Program Office. As the VP of Information Technology in the Atlanta Office, Mr. Durbin's focus is the management of projects at the CDC; primarily within the Coordinating Centers for Health Information and Services (CCHIS) including the National Center for Health Marketing (NCHM) and National Center for Public Health Informatics (NCPHI). Mr. Durbin manages over 20 concurrent projects with a staff of over 80 professionals including database developers, web and desktop developers, help desk specialists, project managers, business analysts, statistical programmers, health marketing specialists, and financial analysts. Examples of Mr. Durbin's current key projects include the following: the development of the CDC Financial Management Office budget formulation intranet application; staffing the help desk assistance for the Public Health Information Network (PHIN); providing technical assistance to the Emergency Communication System of the CDC Director's Emergency Operations Center; and managing statistical analysis, research, and programming support to the National Immunization Program and the Coordinating Office of Terrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response.
